SITXFSA001 Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety

Develop safe food handling skills essential for home, community catering, the workplace and a range of food handling situations.

This is essential training if you are working with food or volunteering for a community event involving food handling.
You will develop skills and knowledge to identify and control possible contamination of food – safe temperatures, (heating and cooling of food and the storage of food), cleanliness of the work area, and the safe handling of food.

Resources Provided 

Support, resources and training notes will be provided.


Participants who successfully complete the requirements of the training will receive a Statement of Attainment in Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety – SITXFSA101.
