Accessing our services
Our services are accessed through either the My Aged Care portal or your local council.
Carer respite
We deliver respite either separately or as part of a flexible, responsive, integrated package of services. We actively consider how to support the person and their carer in maintaining or strengthening the care relationship. Our respite services can be provided at home, in a community venue or in the general community. Services are available during weekdays and weekends, and are offered on a regular basis, episodically or intermittently as needed.
Social engagement opportunities
Through one-on-one activities, volunteers can connect you with a variety of social engagement opportunities. Our service is uniquely designed to match you with activities that fit you and your needs.
Know your gizmo
Volunteers support people to understand how to operate their ‘gizmos’ such as phones, tablets and internet/apps, helping people connect and maximise opportunities.
Memory Lane Café
Memory Lane Cafés are held in Hindmarsh Shire, Horsham Rural City and West Wimmera Shire for people with memory loss and their carers. These Café give the chance to meet people, enjoy some entertainment, find out information, and share stories and experiences in a relaxed, safe and supportive atmosphere.
Memory strategies group
Has your family complained that you’re forgetful? Have you lost your car in the car park? Is remembering names a problem for you? Do others complain that you repeat the same stories?
If so, join the group in Yarriambiack Shire to learn memory strategies and meet people with similar concerns and experiences.
