Skills for Work and Study courses are tailored to meet your needs. They will help you to improve your reading, writing and maths skills. The Skills for Work and Study courses focus on industries where there is a demand for workers, such as Community Services.

OVERVIEW

The community services course aims to develop learners Literacy and Numeracy capabilities and understanding of community services as pathway to the course ‘Certificate II in Community Services’. In addition, it aims to improve learners’ employability skills and develop their confidence to partake in further training in Community Services.

KEY TOPICS

Introduction to community services, Basic vocabulary related to and useful across the Community Services sector, Skills identification, Oral and written communication, Job roles and responsibilities, Occupational health and safety, Managing stress in the workplace.
