Wimmera Food Collective is a social enterprise connecting people with nourishing local foods and produce, all while giving back to our Horsham community.
Being a social enterprise means that what we do is about so much more than just making wholesome local foods accessible. Through our cafe and grocery store, along with our catering service, we invest our profits back into our community to change lives, futures and the broader Horsham region. Our focus is on opening up pathways for people with barriers to employment to work with us and get involved – no matter what their background or level of experience. We can find a role that suits each person to help them grow their work and life skills, make friends, and get involved in the community.
As well as supporting people through work opportunities, Wimmera Food Collective opens up access to quality local produce and reduces food waste, helping shape a stronger, healthier region for everyone. Local people can connect with Wimmera Food Collective’s different services around town:
- cafe at Centre for Participation – a social space for people to meet and enjoy quality local foods, coffee and produce
- catering – delicious wholesome meal options for businesses and events, with a variety of options available.
