Hospitality Workforce Pathways Course

This training has been designed for people from culturally and linguistically diverse background who would like to either be ready for employment in hospitality area or go on to further study.


In a culturally safe and nurturing learning environment participants will be supported by individually tailored class plan which consists of customer service skills, barista training, food handling and event planning with real time hands on experience.

Key topics:

  • Communication & customer service skills. Barista and waiter skills.
  • Use Hygienic Practice for Food Safety. Responsible Services of Alcohol.
  • First Aid training.
  • Event planning, Venue management, menu design, money handling, basic hospitality bookwork and computer skills.

Course Duration:

This is a six month course available twice a year.
