We’re always looking for different ways to connect people and strengthen our communities. Here’s an overview of some of our latest initiatives.
Current initiatives
Helps people overcome transport limitations so they can still access essential services, maintain social connections, and get out about.
Creates stronger, healthier communities by boosting good governance practices in community organisations.
Trained volunteers skilled in governance are matched with small community organisations across Australia for 12 months. These volunteers work with the entire committee or board to empower the organisation to develop processes that facilitate good governance.
The ‘Connect the Service Puzzle for Youth at Risk – Outreach to Mentoring’ project aims to deliver a new framework for identifying, engaging with and providing linked services to young people considered vulnerable to the risk factors associated with young offenders.
Assists migrants to ‘arrive, survive and thrive’ through various initiatives including Licencing the Wimmera, English language classes, digital literacy courses, Hospitality Workforce Pathways Program, and the migrant professional network.
In partnership with Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly (WRSA), this course strengthens community organisations and helps young people gain the skills they need to become the next generation of leaders within our clubs and associations.
