Find volunteers with our volunteering connect service
Our volunteer connect service can help you find volunteers for specific vacancies you have. The service is open to organisations with both public liability and personal accident/injury insurance that covers volunteers.
For us to refer suitable candidates as quickly as possible for your volunteering job, it is important that job descriptions are detailed enough for our referral coordinator to fully understand the job’s scope.
Where will the volunteer job be advertised?
Your vacancy will be advertised on SeekVolunteer, GoVolunteer, the Centre for Participation Facebook page, Twitter feed and our website. Once the referral coordinator feels a prospective volunteer has met the basic criteria of your job, they will refer the volunteer to you.
What is expected of an organisation?
The Centre for Participation does its best to promote your volunteer positions and potential volunteers are often very keen to make contact with you. As part of your volunteer management role, please return calls from prospective volunteers, and/or let them know the status of their applications.
Unfortunately, we know from experience that failure to do so in a timely manner may have adverse outcomes and even deter people from volunteering in the future. Please advise the referral coordinator when your volunteer job has been filled so it can be removed from the database and other sites, ensuring no more prospective volunteers are referred to you.
To use our volunteer connect service and list a vacancy:
- complete the organisation volunteer vacancy form
- sign the form and email or mail the form back to us.
