Bus Driver – Kaniva run
- Providing a reliable, friendly weekly transport service from Kaniva to Horsham & return.
- Licence required for standard vehicle (car) only. No requirement to have a heavy vehicle licence.
- Get to know regular clients and establish long-term friendships.
- Clearly established pick up/set down points along each route.
- Service is provided on Wednesdays, 8:30am-5:00pm.
- Volunteer bus drivers are rostered once per month and work in pairs.
- Volunteers receive full training and support with bus orientation.
- Volunteers are covered by all relevant insurances.
Bus Driver – Outings for seniors
- Providing a reliable, friendly outings for seniors.
- Licence required for standard vehicle (car) only. No requirement to have a heavy vehicle licence.
- Get to know regular clients and establish long-term friendships.
- Outings currently are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
- Volunteers receive full training and support with bus orientation.
- Volunteers are covered by all relevant insurances.
Meals on Wheels
- Deliver meals to people living in our community who are elderly, have a disability and/or living in isolation.
- Connect to the community. Make a difference.
- Drive your own vehicle.
- Short time commitment during the day 12:00PM-1:00PM.
- No public holiday or weekend volunteering.
- Be an invaluable volunteer partner in the health, wellbeing and social connection of vulnerable people living in Horsham & Natimuk.
Licencing the Wimmera
- Be VicRoads trained to deliver quality supervision to learner drivers.
- Help young people under age 21 years to achieve their 120 hours of driving experience to get their Probationary Licence.
- Help over 21 year olds to become proficient and safe drivers on the road and also get their Probationary Licence.
- Be available one hour per week at a time that suits you and your matched learner.
- Become a significant mentor in the life of another.
- Make friends and create memories.
- Make our roads safer.
Non-emergency Medical Transport Driver
- Drive our fleet vehicles.
- Care for vulnerable community members who may be unable to access non-emergency medical appointments without your assistance.
- Drive up to 400km round trips to help community members attend medical appointments in regional centres (e.g. Horsham-Ballarat-Horsham).
- Receive a meal allowance.
- Know that your support has an important impact on the health and wellbeing of others.
Assisted Shopping Support
- Drive our fleet vehicles
- Pick up and assist vulnerable community members to do their personal shopping
- Flexible rosters during the day
- No public holidays or weekends required
- Make a social and practical difference in the lives of the socially isolated and lonely in our community
